The much-anticipated movie You Are the Apple of My Eye, starring TWICE Dahyun and Jung Jinyoung, has finally revealed its first trailer and poster. Fans of the original Taiwanese classic and Kdrama enthusiasts alike are buzzing with excitement as the film marks Dahyun's acting debut, promising a captivating tale of youthful love.

Released on September 3, 2024, the trailer introduces us to Oh Seon Ah, played by Dahyun, an intelligent and composed high school student. Jung Jinyoung, on the other hand, effortlessly steps into the shoes of Koo Jinwoo, the mischievous troublemaker who finds himself drawn to Seon Ah.

The trailer opens with a serene shot of their school, where Jinwoo’s friends are seen admiring Seon Ah for her unique aura. As the story unfolds, we witness small yet significant moments between the two characters, like Jinwoo lending Seon Ah his book under the pretence of having forgotten it himself and Seon Ah playfully poking Jinwoo with her pen, leaving marks on his shirt.

The trailer perfectly encapsulates the essence of first love—the awkwardness, the excitement and the undeniable chemistry between two young hearts. The scenes are sprinkled with glimpses of school life, friendship and the budding romance between Seon Ah and Jinwoo, making it clear that You Are the Apple of My Eye is set to deliver a heartfelt coming-of-age story.

Alongside the trailer, the film's first poster has also been unveiled, showcasing Dahyun, Jung Jinyoung, Lee Min Goo, Kim Yo Han and others in high school uniforms, joyfully jumping and waving their hands. This image captures the youthful spirit and joy that the movie aims to convey.

In addition to the trailer and poster release, it has been announced that You Are the Apple of My Eye will premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival in October 2024. The film, a remake of the beloved Taiwanese movie of the same name, is expected to hit theatres in 2025.

The storyline follows the blossoming romance between Koo Jinwoo, the troublemaker and Oh Seon Ah, the star student, who becomes his tutor. As they navigate the ups and downs of high school life, their relationship grows, making for a poignant exploration of young love.
