Anand Girl Murder Case: The accused in the brutal murder of a 4.5 year-old girl in Gujarat’s Anand district died during treatment after a police encounter on Monday morning. According to police, accused Suresh Parmar allegedly attacked personnel, forcing them to open fire. The incident happened after the body of the child was recovered in Vasad, following an alleged kidnapping, rape and murder.
Girl's Body Found On Railway Track
The girl's mutilated body was found on the railway tracks opposite the platform at Vasad railway station. Since the girl's skirt was also found at the scene, it is suspected that she had been raped and thrown under a train to destroy evidence.
Suspect Seen With Girl On CCTV
Special teams were investigating under the guidance of Vadodara Railway Division SP Abhay Soni. Railway police, local police, and FSL teams also collected scientific evidence. During the investigation, police spotted the suspect kidnapping the girl in the railway station's CCTV footage.
Based on this footage, the suspect was identified, and a search operation was launched. Within a few hours, Borsad Rural Police apprehended the accused, Suresh Parmar, a resident of the Bochasan sub-district and handed him over to the Local Crime Branch (LCB) for further investigation.

Attack On Police; Two Personnel injured
The LCB team was bringing the accused, Suresh Parmar, to Anand when he asked to stop the vehicle, feigning a need to vomit. As soon as the vehicle stopped, the accused suddenly attacked the police team with a knife he was carrying. Two police personnel, Mahipal Singh and Rajveer Singh, were critically injured in the attack.
Accused Dies After Police Open Fire
When the situation spiraled out of control, PSI Rana repeatedly warned the accused to stop and surrender. However, when the accused failed to comply, the police opened fire in self-defense, striking him with two bullets. The injured and blood-soaked accused was rushed to Shri Krishna Medical Hospital in Karamsad for treatment, where he subsequently passed away. The police are proceeding with further legal formalities regarding this encounter case.
