Andhra Pradesh: In a chilling and horrifying incident, a woman from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district murdered her husband in a deeply unsettling manner. The woman, identified as Lakshmi Madhuri, first cooked a meal of biryani for her husband, Lokam Shivanagaraju, lacing it with powdered sleeping pills. Once he fell into a deep sleep, she called her lover, Gopi, to the house. The pair then smothered the unconscious man to death.
This shocking event took place in the village of Chiluvuru, Guntur. Following a forensic examination, the autopsy revealed that Shivanagaraju had died from suffocation, a stark contrast to the natural death his wife had initially claimed.
Madhuri had been involved in an extramarital affair with Gopi for an undisclosed period before the crime. On the night of the murder, she prepared the poisoned biryani and served it to her husband. After he had eaten and fallen into a deep slumber, Madhuri called Gopi over. Together, they placed a pillow over his face and killed him.
In an attempt to cover up the murder, Madhuri spread the story that her husband had died suddenly from a heart attack. In the early hours of the morning, she alerted the neighbours, claiming that he had passed away unexpectedly.
However, suspicion began to mount when Shivanagaraju’s father and friends inspected his body and discovered signs of foul play, including injuries and bloodstains. They immediately filed a complaint with the local police, prompting a formal investigation. Post-mortem results confirmed that the cause of death was suffocation, coupled with chest injuries, ruling out any natural causes.
Madhuri and Gopi were soon arrested. A breakthrough in the case came when authorities examined Madhuri's mobile phone. Investigators discovered that, instead of showing remorse, she had spent the entire night watching pornographic videos on her phone while sitting next to her dead husband’s body.

Under interrogation, Madhuri confessed to both planning and executing the murder in collaboration with Gopi. The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with further details to follow.
