AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal announced a new scheme for women on Thursday. The former Delhi CM stated that Delhi women would receive Rs 1,000 every month, with the proposal having been passed by the Delhi Cabinet. After the election, this amount will increase to Rs 2,100 per month. The scheme was introduced under the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' in the Budget 2024-25.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, "Today, I have come to make two big announcements for the people of Delhi, both of which are for women. I had promised that I would give Rs 1,000 to every woman. This proposal was passed in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Atishi this morning. Now, this scheme has been implemented in Delhi. Elections will be announced in 10-15 days, so it is not possible to transfer the money to accounts right now. Some women said that Rs 1,000 would not be enough due to inflation. Therefore, registration for Rs 2,100 per month will begin tomorrow..."

 

Additionally, the AAP government has something for Delhi's auto drivers as well. Arvind Kejriwal stated that if the AAP government is re-elected in Delhi, they have promised five major guarantees for auto drivers. These include life insurance of Rs10 lakh and accident insurance of Rs5 lakh for auto drivers, along with financial assistance of Rs1 lakh for their daughters' marriages.

Furthermore, they will receive Rs2,500 twice a year for uniforms, and the government will cover the full cost of coaching for competitive exams for their children. Kejriwal also announced the restart of the ‘Ask App,’ a platform aimed at addressing issues faced by auto drivers. The AAP government has always supported auto drivers, continues to stand with them, and remains committed to their welfare.
