Cinema lovers in Bengaluru and across Karnataka now have a reason to cheer, as the Karnataka government has announced a cap on cinema ticket prices, limiting them to Rs 200 across the state. This price cap was issued under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
The Rs 200 price cap applies to both single-screen theatres and multiplexes, ensuring affordable entertainment for all. However, the Rs 200 price cap comes with some exceptions and add-ons.

- The Rs 200 price cap is only applicable to cinema tickets. There is no price cap on popcorn, nachos, and beverages.
- Multiplexes can set their own rate on beverages and snacks.
