The Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Karnatak’s Bengaluru has detained three people for allegedly making fake voter IDs, driving licenses and Aadhaar cards for money. According to an IANS report, one of the accused, Mounesh Kumar, is said to be a close friend of Urban Development and Town Planning Minister Byrathi Suresh, who is a key aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The CCB raided MSL Techno Solutions in Kanakanagar, Bengaluru, after getting a tip-off about the accused getting Voter ID, Driving License and Aadhar Card for money. The police seized computers and other gadgets from the office and lodged a complaint at the Hebbal police station.
The other two detained persons were identified as Bhagath and Raghavendra. No arrest has been made so far in the case, as reported by the news agency IANS. It is alleged that the arrest was not made due to the minister’s influence. CM Siddaramaiah claimed that he did not know about the development.
