Char Dham Yatra 2025: The annual Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand will conclude in November with the ceremonial closure of the Himalayan shrines for the winter season. Religious ceremonies were held on Vijayadashami at Badrinath and Kedarnath to decide the dates, with temple committees and priests announcing the official schedule.
Badrinath Doors To Be Shut On November 25
As per tradition, the portals of Badrinath Dham will shut on November 25 at 2:56 PM. The announcement was made at Badrinath after Panchang calculations in the presence of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee officials and priests. Along with the closure date, the Panch Puja schedule and the journey of the deities to their winter seats in Pandukeshwar and Jyotirmath were also finalised.
Temple committee officials presented turbans to the traditional rights holders of the shrine for the upcoming year. The committee president noted that despite weather challenges, more than 14 lakh devotees have visited Badrinath and over 16 lakh have offered prayers at Kedarnath this year.
The closing of Kedarnath and other temples under the Char Dham circuit has also been scheduled. At Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath, priests and devotees gathered to announce the dates of Kedarnath, Madhyameshwar and Tungnath closures.
