Chennai Power Cut News: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has announced a scheduled power cut tomorrow, on Monday, in several areas of Chennai due to maintenance work to take place.

The electricity department has scheduled maintenance and repair work in multiple localities on Monday, local media, Live Chennai.com, reported. The repair work will be taking place in the afternoon, hence there will be five five-hour power outages in Chennai areas from 9 am to 2 pm.

The Corporation has assured residents that the power supply will be resumed before the scheduled time if the maintenance work is completed ahead of the expected time.

Chennai Power Cut On Monday: List Of Areas Face Supply Cut

People living in the Adyar area of the city will have to face inconvenience due to a power cut; hence, they are advised to prepare in advance.

List Of Areas To Face Power Cut In Adyar

The following areas within Adyar will undergo electricity disruption on Monday- Srinivasa Moorthy Avenue, LB Road, Thiruvengadam Street, 1st Cross Street KB Nagar, Anna Avenue, Loganatha Chetty Garden, Balram Road, Kanniamma Garden, Canal Bank Road, Gandhi Nagar and Main Road, Canal cross Road.

Chennai Metro Phase-1 Update

The Tamil Nadu government has released an order sanctioning Rs 1,964 crore for the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) phase 1 extension. The upcoming corridor will connect Chennai Airport to the New Kalaignar Bus Terminus at Kilambakkam, improving connectivity for South Chennai and suburban areas.
