Delhi AQI Update: Delhi residents woke up to a sky covered with toxic smog as the Air Quality Index (AQI) took another step towards the ‘severe’ category on Saturday morning. The air quality registered severe deterioration at 8 am today, with an AQI of 390.

Today's AQI is 58 points higher than Yesterday's AQI at 8 am, as per the data shared by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The city’s air quality was recorded at 332 at 8 am on Friday, significantly better than today.

CPCB Reading Today

CPCB data from multiple air quality monitoring stations across Delhi showed that the air remained in the ‘severe’ category in multiple parts of the city, while several others recorded a ‘very poor’ quality of air, with none of the monitoring stations recording below 300 AQI.

Station-Wise Air Quality In Delhi

- The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) measures the air quality in the national capital through 40 air quality monitoring stations across Delhi.

- Over 15 monitoring stations across 40 stations recorded ‘severe’ air quality as Jahangir Puri, Anand Vihar, Mundka, among others, choked at above 400 AQI.

- None of the 40 stations recorded only ‘poor’ air quality, which is below 300.

Anand Vihar-436, Ashok Vihar-435, Vivek Vihar-442, Bawana-428, Chandni Chowk-419, Jahangir Puri-442, ITO, Delhi- 425, Narela- 425, Nehru Nagar-427, Mundka- 426, Wazirpur-445, Burari Crossing-415, and Punjabi Bag-421, and DTU Delhi-426.
