Katra Srinagar Vande Bharat Express: Indian Railways is gearing up to launch ticket bookings for the much-anticipated Vande Bharat Express connecting Katra in Jammu to Srinagar in Kashmir later this month. Officials confirmed that this semi-high-speed train will enhance connectivity in the region, offering a blend of comfort, speed, and breathtaking views.

The train will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nowgam station in Srinagar, covering approximately 150 km in just 3.5 hours. Apart from significantly reducing travel time, passengers will experience the thrill of traversing one of the world’s highest railway tracks, making this journey both scenic and exhilarating.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off the train on April 19, and its operations will be managed by the Northern Railway Zone.

Vande Bharat Express To Srinagar: Ticket Booking and Train Details

Passengers eager to experience this new service will soon be able to book tickets both online and offline. The train will feature:

- One Executive Class coach
- Seven luxury AC Chair Car coaches
- A total seating capacity of 530 passengers

Vande Bharat Express To Srinagar: Check Key Stations Along the Route

The train is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project, a major step in integrating Kashmir into India's railway network. It will stop at 18 key stations, ensuring better connectivity for local commuters as per a report by Etv Bharat.

Vande Bharat Express To Srinagar: Expected Ticket Prices

While official fares are yet to be announced, reports suggest:

1. AC Chair Car – Approx Rs 1600
2. Executive Chair Car – Approx Rs 2500

Initially, the Vande Bharat Express will run between Katra and Srinagar, but Indian Railways plans to extend the route to Jammu’s Tawi Railway Station in the future.
