In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted after she and her friend were attacked by six men in a forested area near Borkheda on National Highway 46 in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district on Friday night. Police have launched a massive search operation and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to trace the accused.
According to the survivor's complaint, she had travelled from Jharkhand to visit a friend working as an engineer at NFL Vijaypur. The two had gone to Hanuman Tekri on a motorcycle and were returning around 8 pm when the incident took place.
Attack After Bike Was Stopped
The woman alleged that three men on a motorcycle approached them near the Reliance Green Mountain petrol pump and claimed that their bike had suffered a puncture. When they stopped to check, the accused allegedly snatched the bike keys, dragged both victims into a nearby forest, and called three more accomplices.

The six men allegedly assaulted the pair, robbed them of their mobile phones, purse and motorcycle, and separated the woman from her friend by taking him to another part of the forest.
Survivor Alleges Sexual Assault
In her complaint, the woman alleged that three of the accused tore her clothes and sexually assaulted her while threatening to kill her. She further alleged that when she resisted and screamed for help, one of the accused inserted a stick into her private parts, causing serious injuries.
The survivor said she fought back by scratching and biting the attackers despite being overpowered. She also claimed she could hear her friend crying for help from another part of the forest.
According to the complaint, the accused fled after a nearby Dial 100 police team reached the spot on hearing the commotion.
Police Probe Underway
While police initially described the incident as an attempt to rape, the FIR reportedly includes Section 70(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with gang rape.
Search For Accused Continues
Guna Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal said the victims were intercepted on the highway, robbed, and the woman was sexually assaulted. She said the accused fled after spotting the police patrol.
An FIR has been registered, and six police teams, along with a Special Investigation Team (SIT), have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused. Police said raids are underway at multiple locations, and efforts to trace the suspects are continuing.
