Railway News:  With the aim of facilitating smooth passenger movement during the festive season, the Indian Railways has announced to run Puja Special Trains between Kolkata and Lalkuan. The train will depart from Lalkuan every Thursday and from Kolkata every Saturday from September 4 to November 15. The train will stop at Durgapur, Asansol and other key stations.

The Kolkata-Lalkuan Puja Special Train will be equipped with both second-class sleeper and air-conditioned coaches, aiming to ensure the comfort of passengers during the festive season rush.

Lalkuan-Kolkata Puja Special Train: Check Route, Stoppages, Timings

Train Number 05060 Lalkuan-Kolkata Puja Special Train will run between Lalkuan and Kolkata every Thursday from September 4 to November 13. In its journey, the train will depart from Lalkuan at 1:35 PM and reach Kolkata the next day at 11:55 PM, Jagran.com reported.

Kolkata-Lalkuan Puja Special Train: Check Route, Stoppages, Timings

Train Number 06059 Kolkata-Lalkuan Puja Special Train will run between Kolkata and Lalkuan every Saturday from September 6 to November 15. The train will leave Kolkata at 5 PM and arrive in Lalkuan the next day at 3:45 PM.

During its journey, both trains will stop at Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, and Jasidih stations on the Asansol Division routes in both directions.

The Puja Special Trains will be equipped with general second class, sleeper class and air-conditioned coaches. Passengers can book their tickets for Puja Special Trains via PRS or online platforms.

In addition to this, the Indian Railways has announced to run 150 Puja Special Trains from September 21 to November 30 in several states to manage the festive season rush and accommodate high passenger traffic. The Puja Special Trains will be run on the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand routes.

Prior to this, the Indian Railways announced to run 12,000 special trains to Bihar during Diwali and Chhath Puja.
