Puja Special Trains: The Indian Railways has decided to run Puja Special trains between Howrah and New Delhi during the upcoming festive season of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath.

The train has been announced to accommodate the rise in passenger rush, which rises during these festivals every year. The train will also add convenience for the passengers who wish to visit their hometowns to celebrate the festivals with their family and friends.

Train schedule

-04452 New Delhi-Howrah Puja Special Train will make 57 trips between September 20 and November 15. The train will depart from New Delhi at 06:15 PM every day and reach Howrah at 11:30 PM the next day.

- 04451 Howrah-New Delhi Puja Special will make 57 trips between September 22 and November 17. The train will depart from Howrah at 01:30 AM every day and reach New Delhi at 08:20 AM the next day.

Both trains will stop at Durgapur and Asansol stations of the Asansol division of Eastern Railway. This train will have general second-class and sleeper class arrangements.

Puja Special From Gorakhpur

The announcement comes in line with similar announcements from various railway divisions in the country. In one such announcement, the Railway Board has etched a plan to run three Puja Special trains via Gorakhpur

-Mau–Udhna Weekly Puja Special (05017/05018): Train 05017 will depart from Mau at 5:30 AM every Saturday between September 27 and November 1, reaching Udhna at 12 noon the next day.

From Gorakhpur, it will leave at 9:30 AM. In the return direction, train 05018 will leave Udhna at 3:00 PM every Sunday from September 28 to November 2, departing from Gorakhpur at 7:40 PM the following day to reach Mau at 10:30 PM

-Anand Vihar–Sitamarhi Daily Puja Special (04016/04015): Train 04016 will depart Anand Vihar at 3:30 PM daily from September 29 to November 30, reaching Sitamarhi at 3:00 PM the next day, via Gorakhpur at 7:35 AM.

The return train, 04015, will leave Sitamarhi at 4:30 PM daily from September 20 to December 1, reaching Anand Vihar at 6:15 PM the next day, passing through Gorakhpur at 1:25 AM.

-Gomtinagar–Bengaluru Weekly Puja Special (06529/06530): Train 06529 will depart from Bengaluru at 5:00 PM every Monday until December 22, passing through Gorakhpur at 6:50 AM on the fourth day, before reaching Gomtinagar at 11:30 AM.

The return train 06530 will depart Gomtinagar at 12:20 PM every Friday until 26 December, leaving Gorakhpur at 5:00 PM and arriving in Bengaluru at 8:15 AM on the fourth day.
