- Rape accused Rajkumar murdered six people in Telangana.
- Victims include wife, two sons, and survivor's family.
- The accused is currently on the run.
A shocking incident has come to light in which a 35-year-old man, accused in a rape case, allegedly murdered six people, including his wife and two young children in Telangana.
The accused, identified as Rajkumar, was arrested after a 17-year-old girl filed a complaint accusing him of raping her. He was later granted bail and returned home around a week to ten days before the killings, according to NDTV.
Police said Rajkumar first attacked his 30-year-old wife, Parvathi Saritha, and their two sons, aged four years and 18 months, at their residence in Shabad around midnight on Friday. He then travelled nearly six kilometres to a neighbouring village, where he allegedly killed the 17-year-old survivor who had filed a complaint against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on May 16. The teenager's mother and maternal grandmother were also killed in the attack.
After committing the crime, Rajkumar allegedly called his father, informed him about the killings, and fled.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the accused carried out the murders at two separate locations during the night.
According to Future City Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi, "The accused is currently on the run. Special police teams have been formed, and we have developed leads. He will be apprehended soon."
Interestingly, Rajkumar and Parvathi had a love marriage in 2018. The couple initially lived outside the village before settling in homes they owned in Shabad and Devalaguda.
However, family members claimed there had been no major disputes before the incident, and Parvathi had spoken normally with relatives the previous evening.
Forensic teams have examined the crime scenes, and the investigation is underway to determine the exact motive behind the killings.
