- Man attempted to murder wife in Himachal gorge.

Days after a man from Uttar Pradesh attempted to kill his wife by slitting her throat and pushing her into a 100-metre-deep gorge under the pretext of a mountain sightseeing trip. Police investigations revealed that the accused suspected his wife of having an affair and planned the murder conspiracy.
The prime accused, 28-year-old Dalip Kumar from Siswara village in UP's Bahraich district, conspired with his younger brother, Shivam, and a friend, Madan Kumar, to execute the crime. The trio lured the woman to Solan, Himachal Pradesh, where they carried out the attack. Remarkably, the woman survived after dense bushes broke her fall. Police arrested all three suspects within 30 minutes of the incident.
How the Crime Unfolded
According to authorities, the incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Sadar Solan Police Station. After arriving at a secluded location near the Panch Parmeshwar Temple, the three men attacked the woman with a knife, slit her throat, and threw her into an 80-to-100-metre-deep gorge, believing she would not survive.
However, the woman's fall was broken by thick bushes, allowing her to escape certain death. Despite sustaining critical injuries, she managed to crawl back up to the roadside. Passers-by spotted her and rushed her to the Regional Hospital Solan. She was later transferred to IGMC Shimla, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
On July 11, the Saproon police post received information about a woman thrown into a gorge and alerted the Sadar Solan police station. Following the attack, the suspects attempted to flee back to Uttar Pradesh but were intercepted by the police within half an hour.
All three accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
