Kota, Rajasthan: In a shocking incident, two Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants allegedly died by suicide within 24 hours in Rajasthan’s Kota. The deceased students were in their twenties.
One of the deceased, identified as 20-year-old Abhishek from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, and the other, 19-year-old Neeraj, a resident of Haryana, were both preparing for the JEE in Kota.
Since May last year, Abhishek had been studying at a coaching institute in the student hub of Kota and resided in a PG accommodation in the Dakaniya area under the jurisdiction of the Vigyan Nagar Police Station. He was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his PG room. Neeraj, on the other hand, allegedly hanged himself with a noose in his hostel room late Tuesday evening.

During the investigation, Vigyan Nagar Police Station SHO Mukesh Meena stated that the police received information about Abhishek’s death around 7:45 PM on Wednesday and immediately rushed to the spot.
The family members of the deceased were informed about the tragic incident, and his body was shifted to the hospital mortuary for a post-mortem upon their arrival.
Furthermore, the SHO added that no suicide note was recovered from Abhishek’s PG room, and the reason behind his extreme step is yet to be determined.
