UIDAI to Introduce An Exclusive Aadhaar Mobile App by Dec 2025, Making Aadhaar Update Easier and More Secure The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is all set to introduce a convenient and faster way for its user residents to update their profile through the new state-of-the-art mobile application in order to make Aadhar updates more accessible. The change could save millions of Aadhaar holders from spending hours at Aadhaar Seva Kendras for simple updates, with many of these updates set to get done with the push of a button on the new mobile app. UIDAI had Beta version of the app in April 2025 and had been improving it based on user feedback.

Key Features of the Upcoming e-Aadhaar App

It’s a new app, aimed at simplicity, security and ease of use. Here’s what users can expect:

- Instant secure access with face ID login

- OTC to digitise demographic information (name, address and date of birth)

- Instant Aadhaar download from within the app

- PVC Aadhaar card booking with home delivery

- Full visibility into the editing history.

- Convenient QR code scanner for immediate Aadhaar verification

Security and Verification

To ensure Aadhaar remains secure and is not misused, the app will deploy cutting-edge AI tools, biometric login as well as encryption-backed access. However, there are still some changes that will need to be physically lodged:

Biometric changes like fingerprints and iris scans

Mobile number changes due to their importance in banking and government services

Why This Matters

Currently, even for minor corrections, the user has to stand in a line at Aadhaar centers resulting in wastage of time. The new app from UIDAI will allow:

- Reduce paperwork and in-person visits

- Prevent Fraud by Allowing Safe Online Verification

- Process Aadhaar-related services faster for crores of users

Expected Rollout

UIDAI has set December 2025 as its target date for when a full public rollout would occur, although that timeline is also subject to change. If and when it goes live, the app might represent a major stride towards making Aadhaar updates as easy to do as any other mobile service.
