Adrian Schiller, renowned for his role as Aethelhelm in the Netflix historical series The Last Kingdom, has passed away at the age of 60. His death was confirmed by his agent, Amanda Evans, as per Deadline. "He has died far too soon, and we, his family and close friends are devastated by the loss." Describing his passing as 'sudden and unexpected,' his agent referred to Adrian Schiller as 'a prodigiously talented actor.' He had recently returned from Sydney, where he had been performing in the Lehman Trilogy.
"A prodigiously talented actor, he had just returned from Sydney, where he had been appearing in the Lehman Trilogy and was looking forward to continuing the international tour in San Francisco," Amanda Evans said, adding, "Adrian enjoyed a varied and successful career across all media. Our deepest condolences go to his family, who ask for privacy at this most difficult of times," as per Deadline.

Adrian Schiller is recognized for his role as Mr. Penge in the acclaimed series Victoria, and for lending his voice to Otho in the HBO Max series Raised by Wolves, directed by Ridley Scott. Additionally, he has appeared in several films. He portrayed Monsieur D'arque in the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty And The Beast, and portrayed David Lloyd George in the 2015 film Suffragette, alongside Meryl Streep. His other notable credits include Bright Star (2009) and The Danish Girl (2015), which won an Oscar.
Schiller also performed in the play "The White Factory" at Marylebone Theatre. The theater's official account expressed being "devastated to hear of the passing of the incredible actor."
