The approach road of Charbagh railway station, Lucknow, is set to improve as part of the station’s upgradation project, led by the Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA). This initiative aims to enhance traffic movement and provide passengers with a better commuting experience. The RLDA will begin road repair work in April, focusing on key areas around the station.
The North Railway Lucknow Division will oversee the repair and improvement of approach roads, ensuring smoother access for travelers. A new building is also under construction at the station’s second entry, along with additional passenger amenities. As part of this development, preparations are underway to upgrade the main entrance area of Charbagh station.
The project will start with the parking area in front of Lucknow Junction, followed by improvements to all approach roads leading to the station. This will reduce congestion and make movement easier and more efficient.
Currently, the main entry to the station is through the road in front of the reservation center, but the project will also enhance the road behind the reservation center, the circulating area road, and the rail coach restaurant road.
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sachindra Mohan Sharma stated that the road upgrades will significantly improve passenger convenience, and work on the project will begin soon.
