Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow is set to receive a new and upgraded look, featuring state-of-the-art facilities in its circulating area. Additionally, plans are in motion to connect an underground metro to the station, further enhancing connectivity.

To turn this ambitious project into reality, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) SM Sharma, District Magistrate Vishak Ji, and Municipal Commissioner Indrajit Singh convened on Wednesday to outline the redevelopment blueprint, with work set to commence this month.

Taking inspiration from the successful management of Prayagraj’s major railway stations during Maha Kumbh, the beautification and organisation of Charbagh Railway Station will now follow a similar approach.

The Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) has been assigned to execute the station’s upgrade. A meeting between key officials focused on ensuring seamless coordination between the state and railway administrations to implement various Northern Railway projects.

Following the discussion, officials conducted a joint inspection of the station premises, identifying key areas requiring redevelopment. RLDA will initiate major works this month, including improvements to the approach road and first entry after completing development around the second entry.
