Employment fairs will be held at all District Education and Training Centers (DIETs) across Uttar Pradesh from next month. These fairs will offer Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) trainees the opportunity to secure employment in both government and private schools, as well as in education-focused companies. DIET principals will coordinate with private schools in their districts, and companies working in education innovation will also be invited to participate.
Guidelines for the fairs have been issued to all DIETs by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), and the regional employment office will assist in the process. Currently, there is no campus placement provision for D.El.Ed students at DIETs, but this new initiative will provide them with multiple employment options in one location, giving them significant relief.
Private schools and companies will select D.El.Ed trainees based on merit. Additionally, a proposal is being developed to organise employment fairs at the state level, further expanding opportunities. The participating private schools will benefit by accessing a pool of qualified teachers for various subjects in one place.
To further assist trainees, the SCERT website will provide detailed information about available job opportunities, making it easier for students to find employment options that match their skills and interests.
