The historic Shri Ram Temple at Kashmiri Ganj-Gurudham, Varanasi is set to be transformed into a grand new structure, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath scheduled to lay its foundation stone on April 3.

During a press conference held at Shri Ram Temple on Sunday, Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Kashi Peethadheeshwar Swami Dr Ram Kamalacharya Vedanti Maharaj confirmed that the Chief Minister has given his approval for the project.

Prof Ram Narayan Dwivedi, General Secretary of Shri Kashi Vidvat Parishad, shared that Swami Dr Ram Kamalacharya Vedanti Maharaj was anointed as Jagadguru in the presence of the Chief Minister and saints from various Akharas during the Maha Kumbh. To honor this recognition, Shri Kashi Vidvat Parishad will hold a Jagadguru Abhinandan ceremony on April 1 at the Malviya Value Adaptation Center in Kashi Hindu University.

The event, set to commence at 2:30 PM, will see the presence of esteemed figures, including Shrimad Jagadguru Vishnu Swami Sampradayacharya Santosh Acharya Maharaj Satua Baba, Padma Vibhushan Prof. Vashisht Tripathi, Annapurna Temple Mahant Shankar Puri, and All India Sant Samaj's National General Secretary Swami Jitendrananda Saraswati, along with saints and notable personalities of Kashi.

Vedanti Maharaj further announced that, following the special recognition in the Ramanandacharya Tradition Mahakumbh, this year’s Ram Navami Mahotsav at Shri Ram Temple Gurudham will be celebrated on a grand scale. The festivities will feature musical performances by renowned artists, instrumental recitals, and devotional songs performed by local women devotees.
