Jhansi Viral Video: Surviving in the current temperatures has become nothing but a gruesome task for countless. Cases of heat strokes have only added to the panic that many are going through, especially in areas where the temperature has reached or crossed the 50 degrees Celsius mark. Amid such struggles, some people in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi went overboard in expressing their ‘frustration’. A video from Jhansi came forward, where some people were seen brutally thrashing allegedly some employees of the electricity department. The reason was largely unclear, however, as per reports by ‘Patrika’, the employees were at the locality to fix some lighting issues.

The incident reportedly took place in Jhansi’s Chhaniyapura. The 4 employees were in the area to fix some issues, during which, the locals took their ladder and other belongings. The scene turned ugly after some held the employees’ hands, while the rest were seen beating them up in the clip.

The incident went viral in an instant and left a majority of people angered. The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘priyarajputlive’. The post was captioned, “Video of the beating of electricity employees goes viral in Jhansi. People are troubled by power cuts in Uttar Pradesh.”

Most people were irked over the matter and chastised the public for the ‘uncalled for’ behaviour, while the rest dared them to take action against leaders and politicians instead of workers.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “This is wrong. The employee follows the orders he receives,” a user added. “Why are you harassing the poor employees? If you really are brave enough, go take some action against the government officials. Show your strength where it's needed and not only innocent people,” added a second person.

“The anger of the public is also justified because of the way the electricity department climbs the pole and cuts the cable if there is an arrears of Rs 2000, then until you do not pay the bill, your cable will not be connected to the pole, then the electricity department should also take care,” added another.

“Will the employees give birth to electricity? If you want to beat up the responsible, go and catch hold of the leaders and beat up those who make/implement the policies,” added another.
