Viral Video: Alcohol was never good for one’s health, but recently, it seems like it also turned deadly for a poor bike! Confused? Well, a young man in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur, set his bike on fire. And no, it was not an act done out of anger, revolt or deadly protest, but was rather a result of some alcohol. The man in question was allegedly drunk, and it was his intoxicated state that apparently pushed him to do such an act. A video of the bike burning on a roadside was shared on social media, which went viral almost immediately.

Netizens were quick to call out the horrible effects of drinking and also demanded action against the man responsible. Some also pointed out the fact that the incident could have ended up in a major accident. As soon as the video went viral, it also came into the notice of the UP Police, who later updated on the matter being investigated.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Raajeev_Chopra’. The post was captioned, “Drinking alcohol is harmful to your bike too, in Sitapur. An intoxicated man set his own bike on fire... The youth had come out of the liquor shop after drinking alcohol.”

“Inspector in-charge Kotwali Nagar has been directed to take necessary action,” read the response by Sitapur Police.

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most were against alcohol and demanded strict action against the man responsible for the incident, while some were more concerned about the drunk man’s well-being. The post was shared today and pulled countless views.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take. “These are the side effects of alcohol. What else can you expect from people when they lose control and have no clue about what is wrong and what is right? I hope no one was hurt and hopefully, the police will take some kind of action against such a man,” a user read. “People really do lose control after drinking. I'm thinking about the family who are enduring such a drunk,” added a second person.

“This could have ended in a huge accident. Hopefully, everyone was safe, including the drunk fool. However, I do hope that the police will take action against him. People can not normalize such stupidities just because they are drunk,” wrote a third person. “What is even the point of drinking this much? You are causing harm to your health. You are causing harm to the society. You are creating trouble for your family and others,” added another.
