Viral Video: In another troubling incident that unfolded on the Indian Railways’ train, a ticketless woman forcefully occupied another passenger’s seat, and straight up refused to leave. Despite having no proof, the woman continued to advocate her argument as she argued with quite a few passengers, who were trying to confront her. A video of the same was shared on social media, which is now doing rounds on the internet. At one point, she also claimed to be a Railways employee, based on which she felt ‘entitled’ to the seat.
The video eventually turned ugly as the woman became aggressive. The date could not be confirmed, however, the clip was soon flooded with people reacting as they demanded stricter rules from authorities.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ShoneeKapoor’. The post was captioned, “The lady is occupying a reserved seat without a ticket. Refused to get up, arguing with everybody around. Best usage of #women-card.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their reactions. “Women feel that they are entitled to get everything free. GOI should make everything free for everyone irrespective of gender, age, religion, status, etc,” a user said. “@AshwiniVaishnaw A railway employee illegally occupying a passenger’s seat and refusing to vacate and brazening it out. This is the limit. @IRCTCofficial @RailMinIndia,” added a second person.
“I no longer pay for tickets on railways. There's hardly any point,” added another. “I can bet this is not the first time she did that,” wrote a fourth person. “Some women feel too entitled these days for absolutely no reason !! This is not what women empowerment aims at!!” commented a fifth person.
“We should normalise physically kicking out people who illegally travel regardless of gender. I think this undue respect for one particular gender has gone too far. The lack of consequences is what's driving the entitlement,” added another.
