The Jeep Avenger 4xe’s powertrain combines a petrol engine with electric motors for an all-wheel-drive system. Previously, the Avenger was only available as either an electric vehicle or with a petrol engine.
Jeep plans to start taking orders for the Avenger 4xe by the fourth quarter of 2024. The new model will come in two trims: Overland and Upland. However, there are no plans to launch the Avenger in India at this time.

Talking about its powertrain, the Avenger 4xe features a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a power output of 135 bhp. This engine powers the front wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally, it is equipped with two electric motors, one for each rear wheel, each generating an additional 28 bhp and delivering a combined torque of 1,900 Nm.
This hybrid configuration allows the Avenger 4xe to reach a top speed of 194 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds when using the e-Boost function. To enhance performance and fuel efficiency, Jeep has included a 48-volt hybrid system.
The Avenger 4xe is also equipped with Jeep's Selec-Terrain system, which offers various driving modes such as Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud, plus a Sport mode for enhanced driving dynamics. As an off-road vehicle, the Avenger 4xe boasts impressive capabilities with a 22-degree approach angle, a 21-degree breakover angle and a 35-degree departure angle, making it suitable for various terrains.
