Mahindra BE.05 - Design and Dimensions

The design of the BE.05 seems to be finalised, as recent test models look very similar to the earlier concepts shown. The production version of the sports electric vehicle resembles the concept version but has smaller alloy wheels with thicker sidewall tyres to better handle Indian roads. Additionally, the production model includes proper outside rearview mirrors and wipers, which were not present on the concept version. The BE.05 electric coupe SUV will be 4,370 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,635 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

Mahindra BE.05 - Platform and Battery

The BE.05 will be built on Mahindra's INGLO platform, which will also be used for other electric vehicles by the company. The INGLO platform is versatile and can be used for producing vehicles between 4.3 metres and 5 metres in length. The wheels are positioned at the corners and the battery pack is integrated into the flat floor, providing ample space for three passengers in the rear. The platform can accommodate battery packs ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh and is compatible with both Blade and Prismatic battery types. These batteries can charge at speeds up to 175 kW, allowing for a 0-80 per cent charge in less than 30 minutes.
