Upcoming 7-Seater Cars In India In 2024: The Indian automotive market has been witnessing a growing demand for bigger cars due to their strong road presence, reliability and power. Bigger cars mainly comprise of SUVs and few MPV models. In India, the popularity of SUVs is skyrocketing, with a significant number of vehicles sold being SUVs. A common factor between SUVs and MPVs is that they are both available in seven-seater configurations. There are a plethora of seven-seater cars available in India, however, here’s a look at some of the upcoming seven-seater models scheduled to launch in India in 2024.

Kia Carnival Facelift

Kia unveiled the new-generation Carnival for international markets last year, and it has been spotted testing in India multiple times, signaling an upcoming launch. Globally, the new-gen Carnival is offered with three engine options - a 3.5-litre petrol engine, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine and a new 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a hybrid powertrain. In India, the Carnival facelift is expected to be powered by the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, which produces 200 bhp and 440 Nm of torque.

Kia EV9

Kia is expected to introduce the fourth-generation Carnival in India in the coming months. Alongside this, there are speculations about the launch of the Kia EV9, an all-electric SUV. While detailed information about the EV9 is scarce, it is anticipated that this electric SUV might debut by the end of 2024.

Jeep Meridian Facelift

The Jeep Meridian is set to receive a facelift update later this year and was recently spotted testing under camouflage. The Meridian Facelift will feature subtle styling tweaks and the most significant addition will be an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite. The Meridian facelift will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

The Alcazar facelift was scheduled to be launched in the Indian market by mid 2024, however, its launch has been delayed due to some reasons. The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is now likely to be launched by October this year. Recent spy shots reveal that the Alcazar facelift will sport slightly different styling compared to the Creta. Although no mechanical updates are expected, the facelifted Alcazar will come equipped with ADAS safety features.
