Begusarai Train Accident: Four Family Members, Including Child, Killed After Being Hit By Train Near Rahua Dala

Begusarai Train Accident: At least four people, including a 7-year-old child, died after being hit by a train late Wednesday evening near Rahua Dala, under the Sahebpur Kamal police station area.

According to reports, they were returning from a local fair when the tragic accident occurred. The deceased have been identified as Dharmdev Mahato (45), his 7-year-old grandson, Roshni Kumari (daughter of Madan Mahato), and Rita Devi (wife of Madan Mahato), Jagran.com reported.

The victims were residents of Raghunathpur Karari Panchayat and were returning to their village, Rahua, after attending a Kali Puja fair.

The four individuals were crossing the railway track to avoid waterlogging on both sides when a train travelling from Barauni to Khagaria suddenly arrived, leading to their tragic deaths, the report further stated.

The trains were reportedly running on both the up and down tracks, leaving no chance for the victims to escape. Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing about the accident and promptly alerted the police. 

Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

The tragedy has triggered widespread anger and grief across the community. Following the incident, a police investigation has been launched.
