IND vs ENG, ODI World Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma and Co. made it six wins out of six matches in the ongoing ODI World Cup as they defeated England at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.
Mohammed Shami (4/22) and Jasprit Bumrah (3/32) provided special performances with the ball as India bowled England out for just 129 runs in 34.5 overs.
India have claimed the top spot in the points table with the massive win over the defending champions as they continue to dominate the marquee tournament.
It was yet another horrible batting performance from England as no batter managed to reach even the 30-run mark.

While Liam Livingstone (27) was the top run-getter for Jos Buttler's side, Kuldeep Yadav provided great support to the pacers as he picked up two wickets with Ravindra Jadeja also getting a wicket.
Earlier, India were poor with their batting as well earlier in the match after they were put into bat first by England captain Jos Buttler who opted to bowl first after winning the toss.
India lost their first three wickets featuring Shubman Gill (9), Virat Kohli (0), and Shreyas Iyer (4) cheaply to struggle at 40/3.
Skipper Rohit played a responsible innings as he added crucial 91 runs for the fourth wicket with KL Rahul before the latter's dismissal for 39.
Rohit kept going and reached yet another half-century in between but couldn't convert it into a hundred as he was dismissed by Adil Rashid for 87 runs in the 37th over.
"Looking at where we were after the first 10 overs it was really important to create that partnership with KL Rahul. It was a challenging pitch, it got better to bat on as the game progressed, but happy with that win. I have got experience, it's not only about going out there and playing my shots (got to assess the conditions and situation) as well. It was necessary for me to create that partnership with KL," Rohit said at the post-match presentation after being adjudged as the Player of the Match.
