Bastar Box Office Collection Day 1: Adah Sharma's film, which aims to depict the harsh reality of Naxalites in the Bastar region, opens to low numbers on the ticket windows. Bastar: The Naxal Story hit the theatres on March 15, 2024. However, after the film featuring was released, it received overwhelmingly negative feedback from audiences. The disappointment and dissatisfaction with the movie escalated to the point where many moviegoers are calling for its ban. Amid this, the movie hasn't been able to earn even a crore at the box office.

The trailer showcases Naxalites attacking CRPF jawans and political figures, along with scenes depicting innocent individuals being hanged, children being burned, and other atrocities. Bastar: The Naxal Story earned around 0.50 crore net on its first day. It had an overall 7.97 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Friday, March 15, 2024.
The film is facing a tough competition from Sidharth Malhotra's Yodha and Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan's Shaitaan. It's worth mentioning that while Yodha falls into the action thriller genre, Bastar is said to portray the brutal attacks by Naxalites. Consequently, both the films generated significant anticipation ahead of their releases, sparking discussions about their potential performance at the box office.

Under the direction of Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, this film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Adah Sharma, Indira Tiwari, Vijay Krishna, Shilpa Shukla, Yashpal Sharma, Subrat Dutta, and Raima Sen. The movie revealed its title and thematic focus on the Naxalite-Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
