After the confirmation of Hera Pheri 3, Tabu, who played the significant role of Anuradha Shivshankar Panikar in the original 2000 film, fueled the excitement for the upcoming movie. Recently, Akshay Kumar surprised everyone by announcing that Priyadarshan will direct Hera Pheri 3. Tabu's post followed the exchange of messages between Akshay and Priyadarshan on social media on the latter's birthday.
Tabu In Hera Pheri 3?
Tabu took to her Instagram story and reshared Akshay Kumar's post for filmmaker Priyadarshan on his birthday. She wrote, "Of course, the cast won’t be complete without me!!!!!! @priyadarshan.official."
On Priyadarshan's 68th birthday, January 30, he dropped a hint that left fans stunned. After receiving a birthday wish from Akshay, with whom he had made successful films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Priyadarshan reposted the message on his Instagram stories, which read, “Thank you so much for your wishes @akshaykumar. In return, I would like to give you a gift. I’m willing to do Hera Pheri 3. Are you ready Akshay, @suniel.shetty & @pareshrawalofficial?”
In a recent interview, Akshay revealed, “Priyan sir has given all of us a fabulous surprise by offering to direct Hera Pheri 3. What a fabulous start to 2025.” Since then, fans have eagerly awaited the official announcement.

About Hera Pheri
The original Hera Pheri film released in 2000 was directed by Priyadarshan. Besides Tabu and Akshay, the movie also starred Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu in lead roles. The film's storyline and the impeccable timing of the cast made it a massive hit. Later, the sequel was helmed by the late Neeraj Vora in 2006. In addition to the original cast (excluding Tabu), Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav, and Rimi Sen played key roles.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Tabu will be starring in Priyadarshan upcoming movie Bhooth Bangla, which also stars Paresh Rawal.
