Jigra OTT Release Update: Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starred in Jigra, which debuted in theatres on October 11, 2024. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and moviegoers, Vasan Bala's prison break thriller was widely praised. Talking about the plot, Satya would stop at nothing to release her brother Ankur from a life sentence in a foreign country. Those who missed watching the jailbreak story on the big screens can now watch it online.

Jigra OTT Release Date And Platform

Jigra's theatrical stint at the box office is nearly over. The Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina's film will make its eagerly awaited OTT premiere by streaming on Netflix from December 6, 2024, following its theatrical run. 

Netflix India shared the update on their official social media handles. The caption read, "Walls can’t hold what courage sets free. #Jigra, arriving on 6 December, on Netflix."

The prison-break action drama made a total of Rs 62 crore worldwide, with Rs 37 crore of the amount coming from domestic sales. Despite being a huge box office failure, Jigra is a financially secure film because of the advantageous non-theatrical deals the producers were able to secure in advance.The action-drama with sibling emotions at the core, was marketed as a mass commercial entertainer but ended up being a niche movie with a metropolis as its target audience.
