The highly anticipated film Love & War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal has generated significant buzz ever since it was announced. The movie is being directed under the vision of acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It recently made headlines after reports suggested that the makers were planning to delay its release, which is currently slated for March 26. Amid these rumours, a source revealed that Love & War is on schedule and that the speculations are baseless.

Love & War Release Update

After reports stated that makers of Love & War might miss the March 2026 release due to production delays and to avoid a clash with Yash starrer Toxic, which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026. A source claimed, "Love & War is on schedule, and the film is progressing as planned. There have been no discussions about a possible delay at the production end, so speculation of this nature is entirely baseless."

All about Love & War

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming directorial was officially announced in January 2024. The exciting announcement of the epic saga was made on Instagram stating, “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.” It also introduced the lead cast with their signatures. The rest of the cast and storyline have been kept under wrap.

This project marks the reunion of Bhansali with Alia after their blockbuster collaboration Gangubai Kathiawadi in 2022. The film earned her National Award for Best Actress for the performance in the movie. It's Ranbir Kapoor's second collaboration with the director. He made his acting with Saawariya in 2007. Vicky Kaushal is for the first time working with Bhansali. As per reports, the film will showcase the biggest face-off between Vicky and Ranbir as this epic love story is set against war.
