Released on August 10, 2005, the film received a positive response from critics and audiences and emerged as one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. Now, it has set a new world record by being telecast over 1500 times on Star Maa, according to a recent report by Siasat. This shows how the movie has impressed viewers with its gripping storyline, action sequences, and catchy dialogues.

About Athadu Movie: Cast and Plot

Written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Jayabheri Arts, Athadu stars Mahesh Babu, Trisha, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Sunil, Sayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Brahmanandam. Besides the storyline, the film's music, composed by Mani Sharma, also grabbed attention, while K. V. Guhan handled cinematography. The film explores the story of Nandu (Mahesh Babu), an orphan who is a professional killer. He is hired to stage the assassination of a politician. During this mission, he unintentionally gets framed for the death of a stranger named Pardhoo. This forces him to assume a new identity while hiding from the police.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is gearing up for his highly anticipated movie SSMB29, which is being directed by SS Rajamouli. The film is touted to be an action-adventure entertainer set on a massive scale. According to several reports, the makers are planning to release the movie in two parts, with the first part slated for release in 2027 and the second part in 2029. The movie has already garnered significant public attention, especially with Priyanka Chopra's involvement in the film.
