Delhi Metro Update: With Diwali approaching, key roads in Delhi and adjacent cities are choked with bumper-to-bumper traffic, causing hour-long delays. In a bid to manage the anticipated surge in traffic and ease congestion on roads, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced changes to metro timings on October 19 and 20.
The DMRC officials have advised commuters to use metro services to avoid road congestion on Diwali.
Delhi Metro Timings On October 19 For Diwali
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the DMRC stated that on the eve of Diwali, Sunday, October 19, train services on the Pink, Magenta, and Grey lines will start an hour earlier at 6 AM instead of the usual 7 AM.

Delhi Metro Timing On Diwali
The DMRC has also made changes to the time for metro services on the eve of Diwali, Sunday, October 20. According to the DMRC, the last metro train will depart from the terminal stations of all lines, including the Airport Express Line, by 10 PM on Monday, October 20.
Additionally, the metro services on all lines will run as usual throughout the day.
Check Delhi Metro Timings On October 19 And 20 For Diwali
- On October 19, metro services on the Pink, Magenta, and Grey lines will start earlier at 6 AM.
- The last train on October 20 will depart from all terminal stations, including the Airport Express Line, at 10 PM.
- The metro services will run as per the usual scheduled time throughout the day.
