Gurugram Nightclub Shooting: The Gurugram Police have revealed new details in the nightclub shooting incident, when a woman dancer was shot by a man for rejecting his marriage proposal on December 20. The officials revealed that the accused proposed her several times despite knowing that she was already married. Apart from this, he also stalked the victim and her family members and threatened them. The police also revealed that the main accused, Tushar Choudhary alias Jonty opened fire at the victim's house on the night of November 19. The accused reportedly received the gun from an arms smuggler in Delhi and more arrests are likely in the matter soon, the officials informed.
Gurugram Shooting: Latest Updates
Victim under observation: Kalpana, the victim, was admitted to a Gurugram hospital after being shot. Her husband stated that the victim has suffered serious injuries, adding that she has been under continuous observation. “Doctors told me that a few of her organs were damaged. Her condition is still critical and she is under continuous observation,” Rocky, her husband, was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.
Firing at the victim's house: Earlier on November 19, the accused had opened fire at her house; however, no one got injured in the incident. Kalpana and her husband even approached Tushar's parents and informed them about the threats, but no action was taken. “After the firing at our house and me, Kalpana even approached Tushar’s parents and pleaded with them to make him understand that she was married and had a family. They assured her they would intervene, but nothing changed,” Kalpana's husband said.
Attack on victim's husband: The attackers opened fire at Rocky on November 20, but he managed to save himself. He also informed the police about the incident; however, no immediate action was taken.

CCTV footage records shooting: Assistant commissioner of police (DLF) Vikas Kaushik stated that the shotting was not noticed by the people due to the loud noise, but the CCTV cameras have recorded the incident. “The music was loud; so, no one immediately realised what had happened. Even the victim did not grasp the seriousness at first and continued moving around. She then fainted and staff noticed she was bleeding,” ACP Kaushik was quoted as saying by HT.
