Durga Puja Special Trains: With the festive season approaching, the Indian Railways is gearing up to make special travel arrangements to manage the increased passenger rush. In a major move, the Indian Railways has introduced two unreserved Navratri Puja Special Trains, offering seamless connectivity and enhanced convenience to the passengers during Navratri.
The two unreserved Navratri Puja Special Trains are scheduled to begin operations from September 22, NDTV Travel reported. The first Puja Special train will operate between Prayagraj and Patna, while the second will connect Mirzapur with Alamnagar in Lucknow. Each train will make 11 round-trip in total between September 22 and October 6, with additional trips on October 6 or 7, depending on the demand and route.
Navratri Puja will begin with Shailputri Puja on Monday, September 22 and culminate with Vijayadashami on Thursday, October 2.
Prayagraj-Patna Navratri Special Train: Check Route, Stoppages And Timings
- The first Puja Special train is scheduled to run between Prayagraj and Patna between September 22 and October 1, with an additional journey on October 6, depending on the route.
- The Prayagraj-Patna special train will depart from Prayagraj at 11:15 AM and arrive in Patna at 8:15 PM on the same day.
- In its return journey, the train will leave Patna at 9:00 PM and arrive at Prayagraj Junction at 6:20 AM the next day.
- During the journey, the train will make a total of 11 round-trip with key stopping points at Naini, Meja Road, Manda Road, Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Chunar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara and Danapur.
Mirzapur-Lucknow Navratri Special Train: Check Route, Stoppages And Timings
- The second special train will run between Mirzapur and Alamnagar in Lucknow, completing 11 round-trips between September 22 and October 1, with an additional journey on October 6.
- The train will depart from Mirzapur at 4:05 PM and arrive in Alamnagar at 11:25 PM.
- The return service from Alamnagar will run from September 23 to October 2, with an extra journey on October 7.
- In its return journey, the train will leave Alamnagar at 1:00 AM and arrive in Mirzapur at 8:00 AM.
- The train will stop at several key stations along the route to manage the increased passenger demand.
